NOTD: My first China Glaze polish! First Mate (Anchors Away Collection)

I bought my very first China Glaze nail polish! I'm a real OPI-fan but Christina convinced me to buy China Glaze. I bought First Mate from the Anchors Away Collection. It's a stunning navy blue with a cream finish. It could almost get away with just 1 coat, but to be on the safe side I applied two. So far I really like China Glaze, the only thing I really miss is the big wide brush like OPI has.

MAC Peacocky Review: Mega Metal Eyeshadows (Tweet-me, Paparazz-she, Noir Plum)

So on the first day the MAC Peacocky collection came out I bought 3 Mega Metal Eyeshadows. I first wanted some time to play around with these new products before I review them so I know what I'm talking about because I want to give you my honest thoughts on the product. I’ve had the time to play around with these gorgeous eyeshadows so now it’s time to share my opinion with you all.

HAUL MAC Peacocky

Yesterday the MAC Peacocky collection launched in the Netherlands. As a MAC-addict I needed to check this collection out. So yesterday first thing in the morning right before I had to work I went to my favourite MAC counter in Utrecht. In this collection are 2 brand new products: the Kissable Lip Colours (available in 12 colours) and the Mega Metal Eyeshadows (available in 15 colours). I’m more of a lipstick-girl. I’m not really into lipgloss but these are so pigmented! I swatched them on my hands and was amazed. I do really like eyeshadows and I like shimmer so these Mega Metal Eyeshadows were right up my alley. I decided to just buy 3. When I saw the swatches on Temptalia I immediately knew I wanted Tweet Me and Paparazz-She, so I got those two. One of the girls at the counter had Noir Plum all over her lid, and it looked stunning! So I decided to get that one too. I will be testing them out before I write a review but you can expect a review of these eyeshadows soon. Did you get anything from the MAC Peacocky collection?

So this is the next limited edition collection by MAC. I don't know all the prices yet but I'll change the post when I get more information. No special packaging this time but those eyeshadows look lovely with the denim print. I think that they will be bigger than the normal eyeshadows, just like the Tartan Tale and Peacocky ones. I just don't see the point in that because I never finished a normal size MAC eyeshadow. I think I’ll wait for the swatches on Temptalia before I decide what to buy.

Blast From The Beauty Past: MAC Instant Chic Blush (Pret-a-Papier)

In Blast From The Beauty Past I will tell you about Limited Edition products I bought. Are they really that special? Or were they just over-hyped and do I never use them?

Collection: Pret-a-Papier (Spring 2010)

Product: Blush

Colour: Instant Chic

Colour description: Mid-tone muted coral

Finish: Sheertone
Amount of product: 6g/ 0.21 US oz

Price: €19,50

Pret-a-Papier is a very neutral collection with lots of browns but also a lot of corals, and I like corals. This collection didn’t have special packaging. The only product I bought from this collection is the blush in Instant Chic. It’s a beautiful shade of coral and it applies really smoothly. I love this colour so much, ever since I bought it it’s my go to everyday blush. I used this colour a lot but you can’t see that, it doesn’t look brand new anymore but it doesn’t look like it’s used a lot because you don’t need a lot, really MAC blushes last you forever. It’s not like any of the blushes in MAC’s permanent line, so it’s definitely a special colour and I don’t regret buying it at all!

MAC Cham Pale, Review Lip Gelee: Sin-tillation

Cham Pale is MAC’s post-Christmas collection. The MAC collections after Christmas are usually quite neutral. The Cham Pale Collection contains a lot of sparkly shimmery but nude products. Since I love glitter I decided to pick up one of the Lip Gelees. I choose for the colour Sin-tillation.

Packaging:

Simple transparent squeeze tube so you can see the colour. It contains 15ml and you only have to use a little bit so this tube will last a long time. A thing I really like about squeeze tubes is that if you apply them with a brush it is hygienic to share these while it isn’t with lipgloss with a brush or doe-foot applicator like MAC Dazzleglass or Lipglass. This product is limited edition but it doesn’t have special packaging.

Application:

Lip Gelee comes in a squeeze tube, you can use the tube to place the product on your lips. I prefer using a brush for more precise application.

Colour:

MAC describes it as: Sparkly pale icy pink.

I describe it as: Pale pink with a lot of sparkles.

This colour looks great on its own but also looks nice over a lipliner or lipstick to give the look some shimmer.

Formula:

Lip Gelee in Sin-tillation has frost finish, just like all the other Cham Pale Lip Gelees. It has the typical MAC vanilla scent. It is not very sticky at all and it actually feels moisturizing on my lips. I could feel the glitter on

my lips, but it didn’t feel irritating. It looks better in real life than on the photo, but because of all the glitters it was hard to take a good picture. It even feels like a picture doesn’t do the colour justice

Price/Quality:

Lip Gelees costs €17,00 for 15ml. A little goes a long way, so I think this product was worth the money

Overall opinion:
Cham Pale Lip Gelees are available in 4 colours. If you like glittery lipgloss you might want to check these out. These are limited edition, so if you want one you might want to hurry up.
